These crispy cottage cheese chips are a delicious and healthy snack option that balances crunchiness with flavor. Perfect for movie nights or as a side dish, they are easy to make and packed with protein.

  • 1 sheet of baking paper (for lining the baking tray)
  • 1 spray mist solution (optional for extra crispiness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. This is important for evenly baking the chips and achieving a nice crispiness.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper. This prevents the chips from sticking and makes it easier to remove them after baking.
  3. Place 250 g of cottage cheese in a bowl. You can use a large mixing bowl to have enough space for mixing.
  4. Add spices to taste – start with a pinch of salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of garlic powder. Stir everything well until the spices are evenly distributed.
  5. If you want to use Parmesan, add 30 g of grated Parmesan and mix everything again. The cheese will melt while baking and add extra flavor.
  6. Spread the cottage cheese mixture evenly on the baking paper. Use a spoon to form small mounds about 5 cm in diameter.
  7. Lightly spray the chips (optional) with a mist solution to increase crispiness. This is especially helpful if you desire an extra crunchy texture.
  8. Bake the chips in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on the chips to avoid burning.
  9. Once baked, remove the tray from the oven and let the chips cool on the tray. Cooling makes them even crispier.
  10. When cooled, gently lift the chips off the baking paper and place them in a serving bowl. They are now ready to enjoy!
